Business context
Social Club did not need one monolithic replacement platform. It needed focused technology at several distinct points in the venue operation, while the reservation and POS systems already in place continued doing their jobs.
Megabite delivered three separate products over the course of the partnership. Each had its own users, workflow and technical requirements.
Three systems, three operational jobs
01 · Door operations
Offline-first ticket scanning
The problem: ticket data came from the reservation system, but redemption still had to be fast when connectivity was unreliable and phone-camera scanning was not enough for a busy door.
What Megabite built: a staff-facing scanning application with reservation-system integration, secure event and booking downloads, local caching, laser barcode-scanner support and a focused redemption workflow.
Operational value: the door team can keep validating tickets through connectivity loss without replacing the reservation platform that remains the source of booking data.
02 · Partner benefits
Digital discounts and wallet access
The problem: company-specific benefits needed a dependable route from the venue’s records to the customer and through the point of sale. Paper lists and manual checking made distribution and redemption difficult to control.
What Megabite built: a separate partner-benefits system with company-level discount records, private landing pages, POS-compatible barcodes, and Apple Wallet and Google Wallet passes.
Operational value: partner access is easier to distribute and more consistent to redeem, with the benefit carried directly on the customer’s phone.
03 · Venue experience
Custom music and playlist application
The problem: the venue required a dedicated music and playlist experience rather than another generic interface that introduced unnecessary controls and complexity.
What Megabite built: a purpose-built application for the venue’s music and playlist requirements, with a focused interface for the staff using it.
Operational value: a specific venue workflow is handled by a simple, dedicated tool instead of being forced through software designed for a broader consumer use case.
The common engineering approach
Keep the proven platform where it belongs. Build only the missing operational layer, and shape each product around the people using it under real venue conditions.
What the portfolio demonstrates
Together, the projects show Megabite’s range across offline-first applications, existing-system integration, specialist hardware, digital benefits, mobile wallets and staff-facing product design.
They also demonstrate a disciplined product decision: separate operational problems do not need to be forced into one oversized system.
